Tribunal location and dates

The following dates have been set to cross examine witnesses in relation to Canada's application to dismiss the tribunal on the basis of a legal technicality. Incredibly Canada is prioritizing a legal technicality (they argue funding is not a service) over the important and moral issue on the merits of the case namely whether or not Canada is racially discriminating against First Nations children by providing less child welfare funding on reserves. Canada does not want this case heard on its merits - come and listen to the cross examinations and learn more:

Cross Examinations on Canada's motion to dismiss the tribunal on legal technicality of funding is not a service under the CHRA. All cross-examinations to occur at the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal Office in Ottawa unless otherwise noted.

Other Tribunal Dates

A hearing on the motion from the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network to broadcast the tribunal will be held on March 29, 2010 at the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal office in Ottawa. All parties with the exception of the federal government are consenting to the tribunal being televised.
