Tribunal Hearing on Canada's motion to dismiss the tribunal on the basis that "funding is not a service and thus the Canadian Human Rights Act should not apply." Caring society, AFN, Chiefs of Ontario, Amnesty International and Canadian Human Rights Commission all oppose Canada's motion and want the case decided on its merits. Canada tried a similar strategy to derail the tribunal hearings in federal court and has lost twice.
